International trade and export controls attorneys Andrew McAllister and Christopher Stagg will present during the American Conference Institute's (ACI) Advanced Forum on Global Export Controls. The conference, taking place in Arlington, Virginia, will feature analysis from enforcement, policy and licensing professionals on the post-election U.S. landscape, emerging risks and more.
On the first day of the event, Mr. Stagg will interview Raj Parekh, the chief of corporate enforcement for the U.S. Department of Commerce. Questions will center on recent cases involving voluntary disclosures and how they affected settlement and penalty outcomes.
On the second day of the event, Mr. McAllister will interview Artie McConnell, the deputy chief of the National Security and Cybercrime Section at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York, and John Sonderman, the director of the Office of Export Enforcement at the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS). The conversation will explore lessons learned from recent enforcement actions, including trends and priorities to note.
