The 2026 MA and Part D Final Rule: What's In and What's Out

Healthcare attorney Melissa Wong will present during an American Health Law Association (AHLA) webinar focused on upcoming changes to Medicare Advantage (MA), Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit (Part D), Medicare cost plan programs and Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently finalized these updates, which will take effect Jan. 1, 2026, and which notably exclude proposed changes including coverage of anti-obesity medication and artificial intelligence (AI) guardrails. During this webinar, Ms. Wong will review what to expect beginning in 2026 and how these policy and technical changes could affect areas such as the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan and dual-eligible special needs plans. She will also discuss the provisions CMS did not finalize and what that could portend for future rulemaking.
