The New ACCESS Model and TEMPO Pilot: What You Need to Know
Center for Telehealth and eHealth Law (CTeL)
Healthcare attorney Melissa Wong will be the featured speaker during a webinar hosted by the Center for Telehealth and eHealth Law (CTeL) reviewing new initiatives from the federal government aimed at increasing access to digital health options and healthcare technology tools. Ms. Wong will specifically look at the Advancing Chronic Care with Effective, Scalable Solutions (ACCESS) Model from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Technology-Enabled Meaningful Patient Outcome (TEMPO) Pilot from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The ACCESS Model was created to expand access to technology-supported care options to manage and prevent chronic disease, and the TEMPO Pilot was designed to work in conjunction with the ACCESS Model to give manufacturers an opportunity to provide care through digital health devices while collecting and reporting performance data. Ms. Wong will explain how these new programs will work and what providers and other healthcare industry participants should know as they roll out.
