Understanding the New York Limited Liability Company Transparency Act Requirements, Implications & Uncertainties
myLawCLE
Tax attorney Alan Granwell will participate in a myLawCLE webinar unpacking the requirements of the New York Limited Liability Company Transparency Act (LLCTA). The law, which will take effect Jan. 1, 2026, imposes similar reporting obligations on companies as the federal Corporate Transparency Act, such as information on beneficial owners. During this webinar, speakers will outline the LLCTA's provisions, from what type of entity is a reporting company to what information must be reported and when, to how to determine who is a beneficial owner and what the penalties are for noncompliance. Speakers will also talk about amendments currently awaiting the governor's signature and how businesses can manage the uncertainty in the interim.
