PINCUS Professional Education
Appellate attorney Christopher Bellows will participate as a panelist in a PINCUS Professional Education webinar examining the role of oral argument in appellate practice and strategies advocates can use to maximize its effectiveness. Oral argument presents a valuable opportunity to influence the outcome of an appeal, making thoughtful preparation, effective communication and responsiveness to judicial questions essential components of successful appellate advocacy. During this program, Mr. Bellows will discuss how to prepare for oral argument, establish credibility before the court and persuasively advance a client's position. He will also explore the use of public policy arguments, coordination with co-counsel, supplemental briefing, moot court preparation and best practices for remote hearings.
