Salute to Service: What Healthcare Employers Need to Know About USERRA and SCRA

Healthcare attorney John Saran will present during an American Health Law Association (AHLA) webinar examining compliance considerations for healthcare employers under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). The program will provide an overview of the legal protections available to reservists and National Guard members called to active duty and explore how health systems, hospitals and other healthcare organizations should address military leave and reemployment issues and military leave policies, as well as describe ways to resolve disputes before litigation and support service members throughout activation and return to the workforce. John will draw from his experience as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and active member of Holland & Knight's Veterans Group to deliver effective guidance for healthcare providers and leadership with military personnel on staff.
