Building Your Future at Holland & Knight: Bill Brady's Commitment to Helping Clients Solve Complex Issues
Litigation attorney Bill Brady discusses his lateral move to Holland & Knight, expanding his work in white collar criminal defense, government and internal investigations, and complex litigation.
He highlights the firm's integration program and how it helped him plug into active matters, meet new clients and continue to build his practice. He added that he enjoys solving complex problems for clients and connecting them with the right resources across the firm.
"My hope is to be somebody that clients can come to with any of their problems, any of their legal problems, because within this firm, they may be problems that I can help them with, they may be problems that my partners and other colleagues within the firm — and this firm has the support, it has the depth to be able to handle any problems that people can throw our way," he explained.
Bill Brady: I think my favorite aspect of the job is being able to work with clients and help them work through their problems, and help them navigate situations, which, for them, are often high stakes and really challenging and induce a lot of anxiety. So being able to come in and help them navigate these issues, provide a sense of calm and comfort, and help them get to the other side of it, that's really satisfying. And being to do that with people who generally I enjoy working with, it makes it a good place to work.
The support that I've received as a new lateral partner, especially with the integration, has been fantastic. The commitment from the partners to help integrate me and get me involved in existing matters and introductions to different clients has really made a huge difference as I'm trying to develop my own practice.
My practice is focused on government investigations and litigation. As a former federal prosecutor, I help clients through any sort of issues involving the government. Investigations all the way through trials as well. I also have a background working with healthcare, and so I also focus on helping clients in the healthcare space.
My hope is to be somebody that clients can come to with any of their problems, any of their legal problems, because within this firm, they may be problems that I can help them with, they may be problems that my partners and other colleagues within the firm — and this firm has the support, it has the depth to be able to handle any problems that people can throw our way. And the way we work together here in a collaborative fashion really, I think, provides the support to be successful with that.
