Renewed Challenges for Environmental Regulations - Fracking for Sustainable Development: Can Colombia Effectively Lead?

Colombian regulators have been steadily working at defining an ideal regulatory framework for the exploration and production of “unconventional hydrocarbon deposits” which simultaneously responds to worldwide and local concerns regarding the technologies and processes involved in this development. The author of this article discusses the regulations and addresses the question of whether these rules can pave the way for Latin American unconventional sustainable development.
