Mexico: Trends and Developments
Partner Alejandro Landa Thierry co-authored the "Mexico: Trends and Developments" section in the Chambers Global Practice Guide: Securitisation 2019.
Among other topics, Mr. Landa discussed the series of legislative and regulatory reforms that Mexico has tailored to allow different entities to access funding through the securities market, as well as two key 2018 developments: a presidential decree to stimulate the corporate bond market and the announcement of a new stock exchange expected to increase securitization activity.
The Securitisation 2019 guide, which covers 20 countries, gives legal practitioners a thorough guide to the types of securitization issues that may arise in each of the countries as well as a basis for beginning to structure most of the kinds of securitizations that issuers may use in the actual marketplace.
