Multiple U.S. states have reported cases of COVID-19, an illness caused by the novel coronavirus, including some resulting in death. Although the CDC is still reporting that the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low in the United States, employers increasingly face the unique challenge of maintaining a safe workplace while avoiding potential legal landmines.
