Federal Judge Enjoins Dallas Paid Sick Leave Ordinance

In an order filed Monday, U.S. District Judge Sean Jordan granted a preliminary injunction preventing the City of Dallas from enforcing a new ordinance that requires private employers to offer paid sick leave to employees. The ordinance, which we discussed in a prior alert, took effect in August but was not scheduled to be enforced with penalties until April 1, 2020.
