FMCSA Requests Public Comments on Broker Transparency Petitions

Transportation Partners Jameson Rice and William Byrne and Business attorneys Amanda Barbour and Shemario Winfrey co-authored an article in the ATLP Blog about the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) request for public comments on petitions for rulemaking backed by owner-operator/small-fleet groups to address the transparency of broker rates. The notice is in response to petitions filed by the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) and the Small Business in Transportation Coalition (SBTC, and, together with OOIDA, the “Petitioners”).
