Reform Provides Much-Needed Transparency to Insurance Litigation
Litigation attorneys David Spector and Ismail Ercan published an article for the Daily Business Review discussing a section in a recent Florida tort reform bill that they believe levels the playing field and provides transparency surrounding the amounts paid to medical providers who accept a letter of protection. The authors go on to describe how the bill's key changes to the admissibility of evidence for past unpaid and past paid medical bills will allow judges to be able to accurately evaluate the worth of medical expenses provided under the letter of protection agreement.
