The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's role and power is expected to be a hot topic this election year.
"There will be some interesting conversation about the role of government and regulation, the burden of government and regulation on business and how that affects the economy and we’ll hear — especially from the Republicans or the conservatives — how the CFPB needs to be tamed," said attorney Anthony DiResta. "We may see some proposed legislation, [but] that won’t go anywhere as a practical matter."
