Cigars, Rum and Contingent Contracts: U.S. Eases Cuban Embargo Restrictions

Attorney Andres Fernandez, who leads Holland & Knight's Cuba Action Team, said the further loosening of the U.S. embargo with Cuba means companies can now sign contracts with Cuban entities and Americans can travel to Cuba to negotiate those contracts.

"These changes are more far reaching than just technical amendments and changes—they are substantive," Mr. Fernandez said.
