The Wall Street Journal

Partner William Shepherd shares his insight on the change in awareness for human trafficking among the corporate community.

"As the workforce is engaged and involved in bringing these issues to light, companies are asking, 'What are we doing about human trafficking in our supply chains,'" Mr. Shepherd said.

"Nobody wants to be part of the problem but people just were focused on whether they had any exposure. They went to the warehouse, they know all the people who work there. Those people are free to go home, people can quit, they are not chained in the basement. But it’s much broader than that. There are warehouses around the world that are part of your supply chain; what are you doing about those?"
