US Offshore Wind Prospects Get Real

Partner Mark Kalpin shared his knowledge on different state's offshore wind projects for an article by Project Finance International. The prospects for offshore wind projects in the United States have changed dramatically over the last year, with a total of 28 projects proposed, according to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

"Project finance will likely play a significant role in every developer’s plans moving forward," Mr. Kalpin said. He predicts that east coast states, like Massachusetts, will most likely take the lead in being first movers in this energy industry and provide the most long-term revenue certainty to developers.
