Tariffs Against Mexico Would Hit Many Goods That Previously Avoided Penalties

Trade Attorney Carlos Véjar spoke with The Wall Street Journal on President Trump’s proposed tariffs on Mexico and how they have the potential to affect up to $360 billion in goods. If followed through, this would be the biggest imposition to date on such duties on a U.S. trading partner by President. Trump.

“Trade touches everything,” said Mr. Véjar. “If not the heart, it’s the principal vein of the economy’s circulatory system.”
