Women Executive Leadership Celebrates National Milestone For Women on Boards

Attorney Tammy Knight attended the Women Executive Leadership (WEL) luncheon to support the advocacy's group mission to increase the share of women serving on company boards to 20% by 2020. The organization finally reached its goal, with just over a month left in the decade.

She has focused on empowering women by uplifting them into other leadership positions since joining Holland & Knight's board in 2013. "Eight of the 27 board members are women now, well above the 20% goal that WEL sought in 2010," said Ms. Knight. In 2017, Ms. Knight helped create the Mansfield Rule, which encourages all law firms to increase the number of women in leadership roles by requiring 20% of the candidate pool to be women.
