Attorney Da'Morus Cohen spoke with EdWeek Market Brief about the Federal Trade Commission's new guidance for companies of all sizes in the education space, not just social media influencers, when sharing their opinions about ed-tech or education products on social media platforms.
"If you know that your employees use social media to initiate sales, you have somewhat of an obligation, from a business perspective, to be monitoring and looking to see what’s out there on social media," said Mr. Cohen. "Businesses should also have departments to respond to concerns and questions by those employees related to their activities," he added.
