Partner Brian McDowell was quoted in a Consumer Reports article discussing the difficulties of selling timeshares, specifically describing scams associated with so-called "exit companies" that claim to offer assistance with selling a timeshare but never complete the transaction. The article cites a Federal Trade Commission lawsuit against one such company that defrauded consumers of more than $18 million. Mr. McDowell played a key role in this case.
