Oracle Nabs Win In $150M Cloud Computing Contract Dispute
Government Contracts Attorneys David Black, Gregory Hallmark and Amy Fuentes recently secured a protest win in a cloud computing contract dispute involving a government agency. The Library of Congress had been searching for a single cloud computing service provider, and its request for proposals included, without justification, a requirement that contractors offer brand-name products to qualify for the $150 million contract. The U.S. Government Accountability Office found this to be in violation of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and sustained protests by Oracle America Inc. and its reseller Mythics Inc., who is represented by Holland & Knight. Law360 published an article recapping the case.
