What’s Ahead for California Wine Industry with Laws and Regulations

Alcohol Beverage Team head Michael Newman was interviewed for a North Bay Business Journal Q&A about how the California wine industry will be affected by the lifting of COVID restrictions. The article discusses the rollback of temporary allowances given to vineyard owners by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control during the pandemic.

 

"California beverage alcohol regulators on June 30, barring legislative action, plan to roll back many of the temporary allowances during the pandemic, namely virtual wine tasting and returns of unsold inventory from trade accounts," said Mr. Newman.
