Tax attorney Mario Barrera was interviewed by El Heraldo de México about the country's Digital Tax Receipt and Bill of Lading. He described the difficulties associated with the Bill of Lading, including its inflexibility, and commented that the Mexican Tax Administration Service should implement electronic systems that give greater flexibility to carriers and guarantee that there are no security issues in the sector.
"In my opinion this document should not exist in the sector because it is something very delicate, the carriers do not have control of how it is imported or how it will be exported, and yet they can be accused of smuggling," he highlighted.
