Tax Partner Mario Barrera was interviewed by the newspapers Reforma, El Norte and Mural about the increase in tax debts in Mexico. The increase in tax activity by the country's Tax Administration Service (SAT) has resulted in a 222 percent increase in the number of tax debts.

"(It is the result) of an exacerbated tax activity by the authority that is very active in the exercise of powers of verification from invitation letters, in-depth reviews to audits," he said.
