These Unforeseen Pitfalls Plague Clients of Central Florida's Top Real Estate and Construction Law Firms

Real Estate attorney Christopher Brockman spoke with the Orlando Business Journal about current challenges clients are facing in the real estate and construction industries. He talked about the push for business interruption insurance after pandemic-related shutdowns, commenting that these policies must be carefully drafted to achieve their intended purpose.

"A number of landlords are requiring tenants to obtain business interruption insurance as a hedge against further shutdowns because of the impact of COVID-19," he said. "While this may seem prudent, almost none of the policies we have seen would actually cover a loss due to closure from the pandemic."
