Affordable Housing Attys See High Demand for Services
Tax Credit Transactions Practice Leader Ted Hickey spoke with Law360 about the increasing demand for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) attorneys. LIHTC apartments are usually reserved for households that earn up to 60 percent of the area's median income. However, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development release a report stating that more than half of resident households earn no more than 30 percent. As a result, the practice area has expanded as the need for LIHTC attorneys has increased. Mr. Hickey commented on Holland & Knight's LIHTC practice.
"We've continued to grow over the years as demand has continued," he said.
