Executive compensation and employment attorney Tyrone Thomas spoke with Law360 about his decision to join Holland & Knight. He spoke about the firm's rapid expansion in the southeast and California, which particularly attracted him to make the move.
"Looking at the matters particularly in the athletic side that are coming down the pike, it's also the skill set aspect," he said. "In the college athletic space it's important to have people who not only speak in higher education as I put it, but also have the skill sets where you're familiar with Title IX. That obviously was a big issue last month, but it will continue to be a big issue in athletics, particularly in the name image and likeness component becomes greater and more well understood."
