DOL Developments to Watch for the Rest of 2023

Law360

Labor, Employment and Benefits attorney Timothy Taylor was recently quoted in an article by Law360. The article details possible developments, regulations and rulings that could come from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in the second half of 2023 based on previous proposals and regulatory agendas provided by the department. However, with the DOL facing three separate lawsuits regarding minimum wage and fair compensation for federal contract workers, Mr. Taylor warned employers not to hold their breath waiting for any new regulations.

"The best you can do is be aware of what jurisdiction or jurisdictions you have employees, and then keep up on the latest [developments]," Mr. Taylor said, "Sometimes these rules are up, sometimes they're down, depending on what court and what time of day it is."
