GOP Chairs in Safe Seats Rake in Campaign Cash They Don't Need

Public Policy & Regulation attorney Kathryn Lehman was quoted in a Bloomberg Tax article discussing campaign fundraising by new House committee chairs. The article explores how these lawmakers have significantly increased donations to their campaigns and leadership PACs following their rise to chairmanships of influential committees. Ms. Lehman, a former House GOP leadership aide, offered insight into the value of forming relationships with potential donors prior to taking on committee leaderships roles. 

"Part of being good at this is to have those relationships form before they become chairmen," she said.
