They Suggest Auditing the Spending That Benefits the Population

Tax attorney Eugenio Grageda was mentioned in an article published by Reforma where he suggested that Mexico should reform its tax system to ensure optimal public resource use for the benefit of the population and offered the inclusion of audit measures instead of simply increasing rates. Mr. Grageda proposed the creation of an internal government body to supervise the proper use of taxes, given the high labor informality in the country.

"It is necessary to expand the taxpayer base and the best way to do that is to demonstrate correct use of taxes, to teach people that paying their contributions works," he said.
