Ms. Tzinova noted that the political dimensions inherent in an election year introduce a level of unpredictability, suggesting that if the transaction was proposed at a different time, the outcome could diverge significantly from what can be expected now. Her commentary underscores the complex interplay between business decisions and the political landscape, especially concerning national security considerations reviewed by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

"If this transaction was taking place, maybe at the beginning of 2025, it may have developed differently, but we are in an election year," she said.
