Labor and employment attorney Diego Acevedo was mentioned in an article published by Pulzo discussing the need to account for the total weeks of contributions across any system for the newly approved pension transition regime in Colombia. This scheme aims to safeguard individuals nearing retirement age, ensuring they can receive their pension under the rules valid before the reform. Mr. Acevedo pointed out that the recent implementation might bring up scenarios requiring particular adjustments, showcasing the practical challenges associated with the pension reform. 

"In relation to these transition regimes, it's common that after the effective date, situations will start to arise that necessitate further clarification of the regulations, such as how weeks are counted, based on guidelines established by the Labor Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice," he said.
