What Did the Pilot Leave with Crypto Assets in the Country?

Financial Services attorney Camilo Gantiva was cited in an El Colombiano article about the results of the crypto asset pilot carried out by the Financial Superintendence of Colombia. Mr. Gantiva pointed out that although the pilot was among the most extensive globally, spanning around three years, it did not lead to the announcement of any specific regulatory initiatives. He also mentioned that previous legislative and regulatory proposals related to cryptocurrencies have either stalled or been abandoned.

"As a result of the pilot, no concrete regulatory projects have been announced, and the projects that existed some time ago are no longer in progress or will not be issued," he said.
