Some Law Firms ‘Bullish’ a Trump Presidency Will Push M&A Activity, But Lawyers Aren’t Sitting on Deals Now
Partner Adam August, who leads the firm's Mid-Atlantic Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group, was quoted in a National Law Journal article discussing how the next presidency could impact mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, such as a potential surge in transactional work if Trump wins the election. Even though the outcome is still unknown, Mr. August noted that the country has already experienced both a Trump Administration and a Biden-Harris Administration, which has helped put clients at ease.
"And so as much as there is uncertainty, I think that the level of relative certainty has been what I think has probably allowed the M&A markets, particularly in the government contracting industry, to stay relatively busy,” he said.
