BigLaw Firms Report Record Lobbying Revenues for 2024

Law360
Rich Gold, leader of the firm's Public Policy & Regulation Group, was recently quoted in a Law360 article discussing the record federal lobbying revenues achieved by BigLaw firms in 2024. Holland & Knight reported nearly $50 billion in earnings last year, almost $2 million more than 2023. Looking ahead to 2025, firms are gearing up for significant policy changes in areas such as tax, energy and immigration under a new administration and Congress. Mr. Gold highlighted that President Donald Trump's week one executive orders have raised a number of questions from clients but said he anticipates the major priorities will involve budget reconciliation and tax laws.

"But the bigger focus this year, without question, is going to be on budget reconciliation and reauthorization of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. And that is front and center for our entire client base," he said.
