Trump's Tariffs Likely Face Legal Challenges But Critics Face 'Uphill Climb'

International Trade attorney Andrew McAllister was quoted in an Agri-Pulse article discussing President Donald Trump's plan to impose tariffs against Canada, Mexico and China. The administration has issued other executive orders, such as an effort to scale back birthright citizenship and institute a spending freeze, which have been temporarily blocked by courts with injunctions. However, Mr. McAllister explained it won't be as easy to do the same with tariffs because it will be harder for plaintiffs to prove irreparable harm.

"There's some factors that make granting an injunction or something like that potentially difficult," he said.
