Labor Reform Would Increase the Cost of Security Services to $19.2 Million
El Colombiano
Labor and employment attorney Camilo Cuervo was cited in an article published by El Colombiano detailing how the proposed labor reform could affect the cost of security services in Colombia. Mr. Cuervo noted that, since security companies operate 24 hours a day, surcharges for night and Sunday shifts would significantly affect this sector by increasing their costs.
"It is estimated that the impact of the reform could be around 25 percent for security companies because of the additional costs from night surcharges starting at 7 p.m. and the progressive increase of Sunday surcharges," he explained.
