Trade Policy Whiplash Drives Firm Hiring Spree in D.C.

International Trade attorney Ronald Oleynik was mentioned in a Law360 article highlighting the surge in demand for trade legal services amid the rapidly changing and uncertain landscape caused by President Donald Trump's tariffs and evolving trade policies. Firms in Washington, D.C., Maryland and northern Virginia have hired more than 70 international trade lawyers this year, according to the article, to manage an uptick in clients needing assistance. Mr. Oleynik, who co-heads the firm's International Trade Group, commented that "the demand right now is huge" and noted recent hires like Patrick Childress, formerly of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), can help "look at that cloudy crystal ball and see where things are going."
