Mr. Gantiva emphasized that this legislation marks a turning point by introducing uniform rules for stablecoins and could become a model for other countries seeking to regulate this emerging market of digital assets.

"The Genius Act represents a paradigm shift because it sets minimum standards that stablecoin issuers must meet in terms of licensing, backing, consumer protection, financial information and operational structure," he said.
