They Warn Mexico Loses with Constant Modifications

International Trade attorney Turenna Ramírez Ortiz was interviewed by Reforma about the decision to renew the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) annually and its implications for investors and Mexico's economy. Although the development neither terminates the agreement nor nullifies currently active trade rules, it generates uncertainty for trade partners and the Mexican government. Ms. Ramírez Ortiz highlighted the effects of this situation.

"The treaty remains, yes, but what also will remain is the uncertainty for investment, national economy, and this uncertainty is never advisable for the country," she said.
