Holland & Knight Launches Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Team

Washington, D.C. – Holland & Knight LLP today announced the launch of its Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Team (“FCPA Team”), a subgroup of Holland & Knight’s White Collar Defense & Corporate Compliance Team. The FCPA Team will be led out of the firm’s Washington, DC office by partner Don Zarin.

The FCPA Team represents U.S. and foreign companies of all sizes and industries, from the very small to the Fortune Five company, on corruption-related issues. The FCPA Team has conducted numerous internal investigations on corruption activities all over the world, including Pakistan, India, Nepal, Russia, People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Italy, France, Spain and Nigeria, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia.

“There are few corruption-related factual scenarios which members of the FCPA Team have not confronted.  We bring a practical, real world approach that we tailor to the issues and needs of each company,” said Zarin.  “The white collar defense attorneys in the FCPA Team have years of enforcement experience beyond what most attorneys specializing in our field have.”

Members of the FCPA Team have lectured worldwide on corruption-related issues, drafted numerous compliance programs for U.S. companies and their foreign affiliates, conducted training programs for U.S. companies and their foreign subsidiaries around the globe, and represented companies in enforcement proceedings. Mr. Zarin is the author of Doing Business Under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a leading textbook in the field.
