Holland & Knight Named "Law Firm of the Year" by the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors

Washington, D.C. – March 26, 2010 – Holland & Knight has been named the 2009 "Law Firm of the Year" by the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors (GWCAR). The GWCAR Commercial Awards dinner and cocktail reception took place on Thursday, March 25 at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. Holland & Knight's Real Estate Department Chair Janis Schiff accepted the award on behalf of the firm.

“We are honored once again to receive this recognition from the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors," said Schiff. "Our relationship with GWCAR is a great source of pride for the firm. We look forward to another year of working with the finest real estate brokers on some of the most important and challenging projects in the Washington, D.C. area."

As part of the organization’s annual awards, more than 600 GWCAR members were asked to nominate the “best company or firm” in a number of categories relating to commercial real estate, including Law Firm, Architecture Firm, Developer, Service Provider, Real Estate Sales, and Commercial Leasing. When all the write-in ballots were tallied, Holland & Knight came out on top in the “Law Firm” category, ahead of all other real estate law firms which had been nominated for the award. The firm was previously named "Law Firm of the Year" in 2007.
