David Cole Joins Holland & Knight's Northern Virginia Office as Partner

Washington, D.C. – March 16, 2011 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that David Cole has joined the firm as a partner in the Northern Virginia office. Cole is a member of the Business Section and will join the Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions Practice group.

"David's demonstrated legal skills and long-standing reputation in the business community as a lawyer who consistently closes high yield debt, equity securities offerings and M&A deals will strengthen our ability to serve clients domestically and internationally across a variety of industries including the government contractor sector and the clean tech industry," said Bill Mutryn, co-head of the firm's Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Cole was a partner at Baker & McKenzie where he assisted public and private companies and funds to complete domestic and overseas merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions, issue securities in public and private offerings and lend and borrow money in senior credit transactions. Cole's clients acquired and sold businesses in the cleantech, renewable energy, government contractor, chemical, retail, information technology and motion picture industries, and they have completed securities offerings in the government contractor, biotech, telecommunications and hospitality industries.

Cole is a frequent speaker and panelist around the country on finance and M&A topics, and he previously acted as in-house counsel for the NHL's Buffalo Sabres. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester and his J.D. from George Washington University.
