Holland & Knight Adds Finance Attorney Renee Lewis in Chicago

CHICAGO (November 9, 2015) – Renee Lewis has joined Holland & Knight's Chicago office as a senior counsel in the firm's Financial Services practice group. Ms. Lewis most recently was a corporate counsel with Scientific Games Corporation in Chicago. Previously, she was a senior associate in business and finance at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

At Holland & Knight, Ms. Lewis will advise company executives and owners on strategically structuring complex financing transactions. This includes counseling financial institutions, privately held companies and trustees in the structuring, negotiating and documentation of employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) transactions, which may entail leveraged buyouts, equity repurchases and corporate reorganizations.    

"Renee has broad and deep corporate compliance and transactional experience in a wide variety of industries, especially financial services, working both in an in-house legal department as well as in private practice," said Frank Keldermans, who leads Holland & Knight's financial services practice in Chicago. "She is an excellent addition to our rapidly expanding team and will play an important role in its continued growth."

Ms. Lewis received a J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law and a B.S. degree in accounting, also from DePaul University.
