Holland & Knight Advises Digitek Computer Products in Sale to Carolina Wholesale Group

TYSONS, Va. (August 24, 2016) – Holland & Knight served as legal counsel to Digitek Computer Products, Inc. in the sale of the company to Carolina Wholesale Group (CWG). The deal, which closed Monday, creates one of the largest distributors of imaging supplies and business machines in the United States. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Digitek is an industry-leading distributor of imaging services and products. It provides imaging and technology resellers access to brand name products, print consumables, IT services, professional sales training and digital marketing solutions. The company is based in Dulles, Va.

CWG, the parent company of Carolina Wholesale, Arlington Industries, Smoltz Distributing and Monroe Systems for Business, has been providing products and services to resellers since 1972. Headquartered in Charlotte, N.C., it has 11 distribution centers across North America.

The Holland & Knight team advising Digitek was led by Adam August, a partner in the firm’s Tysons, Va., office. Other members of the team included associates Lauren Benny and Evan Weiss.
