Holland & Knight Represents Bancomext on $100 Million Financing Loan to Kaltex

MEXICO CITY (December 20, 2022) – Holland & Knight represented Banco Nacional de Comercio Exterior (Bancomext) as lender on a $100 million loan to Kaltex, the largest textiles company in Mexico. The transaction closed on Dec. 16.

Bancomext is a Mexican state-owned bank and export credit agency that was created to aid in the development and job creation in Mexico by financing the country’s foreign trade. Founded in 1937, Bancomext operates by granting loans and guarantees, directly or through commercial banks and non-banking financial intermediaries, with the goal of assisting Mexican firms in increasing their productivity and competitiveness.

The financing deal is expected to help Kaltex strengthen its financial position and fund its long-term growth plans.
