Public Finance Partner Edward J. Rojas Rejoins Holland & Knight in New York

NEW YORK (June 7, 2024) – Edward J. Rojas has rejoined Holland & Knight's national Public Finance Team as a partner in its New York office. Mr. Rojas was previously a partner with Harris Beach.

"Given our familiarity with Ed's excellent work and skill set, we are thrilled to have him return to the firm," said Woody Vaughan, chair of the firm's Public Finance Team. "His experience with high-profile matters makes him a popular choice as counsel on a variety of project types and an invaluable asset to both our clients and our team."

A former attorney at Holland & Knight from 2016 to 2021, Mr. Rojas' practice encompasses the full range of tax-exempt bond financings, including healthcare, educational, single-family and multifamily housing, Tribal bonds, transportation, airport, solid waste, infrastructure, environmental and generation facilities. His more than 30 years of public finance experience includes new money and refunding issues, hedges, investment agreements, reissuance, and other arbitrage, allocation, expenditure, rebate and post-issuance compliance issues and procedures.

"Since I departed Holland & Knight, the firm has experienced tremendous growth, which was especially enticing to me," said Mr. Rojas. "I look forward to supporting the firm's broad Financial Services Team as well as its numerous industry groups, while still collaborating with other law firms that need particular assistance."

Mr. Rojas earned a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School and an A.B. degree from Harvard University. He is admitted to practice law in New York, Connecticut, Florida and North Carolina.

As part of Holland & Knight's Financial Services Group, the Public Finance Team is staffed with more than 25 attorneys around the country, as well as a senior policy advisor, who collectively devote all or a portion of their practice to public finance, including in-house tax counsel. The Public Finance Team has participated in governmental debt issues since the 1960s and has been listed in The Bond Buyer's Municipal Marketplace (the Red Book) since 1975.
