Litigation Partner Clayton Falls Joins Holland & Knight in Dallas

DALLAS (June 26, 2025) – Holland & Knight has bolstered its leading Texas litigation practice with the addition of Clayton Falls as a partner in Dallas. He was previously a partner with K&L Gates, where he served as a leader and coordinator of the firm’s global commercial disputes practice group.

"Clay's substantial experience with a variety of complex commercial litigation matters, especially in the real estate industry, makes him a perfect fit for our growing Texas offices," said Greg Binns, co-leader of Holland & Knight's Texas Litigation Practice Group. "His strong client connections in Dallas and beyond, combined with his exceptional legal and business acumen, will only strengthen our deep litigation and real estate benches nationwide. Clay is an excellent addition to our Firm."

Mr. Falls focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on representing owners, developers, landlords and tenants in a wide array of real estate related disputes ranging from lease defaults, commercial evictions and construction disputes. In addition, he actively manages the representation of real estate investment trusts (REITs) and other private investment firms in connection with their real estate acquisitions, dispositions and leasing needs across the country.

He represents clients in a broad range of cases as plaintiffs and defendants in both state and federal courts, as well as arbitration proceedings. Mr. Falls also handles a variety of cases including claims for breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, deceptive trade practices, unfair competition, misappropriation and theft of trade secrets, business fraud and negligence.

Holland & Knight is ranked as a top-tier firm in litigation and real estate in Texas by the 2025 Chambers USA guide. In addition to Mr. Falls, the Firm recently recruited real estate Partners John "J." Pieratt (Austin) and Kate Pennartz (Dallas) in Texas.

"I'm eager to start this new chapter in my career and continue helping my clients navigate their most important litigation and real estate matters,” Mr. Falls said. “Holland & Knight’s impressive national platform and commitment to focused growth in Texas were key factors in my decision to make this move, and I look forward to contributing to the continued success of the Firm.”

Mr. Falls received a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and a B.S. degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
