Alex M. Gonzalez Named Leader, Latin American Litigation and Disputes Team
MIAMI (June 4, 2026) – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce the appointment of Miami Partner Alex M. Gonzalez as the leader of its Latin American Litigation and Disputes Team. Mr. Gonzalez brings more than three decades of sophisticated trial and arbitration experience to this new role.
With a distinguished career spanning 34 years at Holland & Knight, Mr. Gonzalez has established a reputation for winning complex, high-stakes matters throughout Latin America. His extensive track record includes litigating and arbitrating disputes on behalf of domestic and international business clients in significant matters. His work on behalf of clients includes matters for financial institutions, energy and technology firms, healthcare providers, entertainment and transportation companies, among others.

Mr. Gonzalez is widely recognized for his ability to develop and implement innovative, aggressive and comprehensive litigation strategies that bridge the gap between U.S.-style advocacy and the unique procedural nuances of civil law jurisdictions. A core tenet of his practice is the seamless coordination of multi-jurisdictional teams; he leverages the Firm's robust network of trusted local counsel across Latin America, ensuring that clients receive a cohesive, unified defense strategy regardless of the forum.

Mr. Gonzalez earned his J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law and his B.A. degree from the University of Miami. He is admitted to practice law in Florida.
